INCOIS Marks Successful Culmination of Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 with Strong Commitment to Ocean and Environmental Sustainability

The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, concluded its two-week-long Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 campaign with a vibrant closing ceremony held at its Hyderabad campus.
The event showcased INCOIS's wide-ranging efforts in promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and ocean conservation through scientific and community-driven initiatives.
Dr. T.M. Balakrishnan Nair, Director of INCOIS, in his address, emphasized the need for collective action in protecting oceans and reaffirmed INCOIS's commitment to environmental stewardship. He called upon NGOs, academic institutions, and civic bodies to collaborate with INCOIS in leveraging scientific ocean data for identifying marine pollution hotspots, plastic and ghost net accumulation zones, and supporting targeted cleanup efforts.
