Empowering our generation through education

TO THE youth of 1976 - every year on June 16th we commemorate your bravery.

You stood fiercely against unjust systems to fight, not only for yourselves but for generations to come, and for that we continue to honour your fearless struggles and voices in pursuit of equality and education in South Africa, our land.

When I think about opportunities available to young people today, I’m reminded of the words of the late President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela; “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
