'We came out like a steam train and took the game away from Crawley'

CAMBRIDGE United boss Neil Harris praised his side's start to the second half which "really took the game away" from Crawley Town in Saturday's 3-1 victory at the Abbey.

The U's led 1-0 at the interval owing to Shayne Lavery's first-half strike, but netted twice in the opening 12 minutes of the second half through Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu and Kylian Kouassi to put clear daylight between the sides by the hour mark.

Kabongo Tshimanga netted a consolation for the Red Devils, but United saw out the closing stages to register their fifth League Two victory of the campaign.

Reflecting on his side's latest win, Harris said: "First and foremost, Crawley are a real tough team to play against, they really are. The way they play the game, yes the league position (fourth from bottom) might suggest that it's not difficult today, but it is.

"Every time you watch them, they dominate games. The percentage of the ball they have and the amount of chances they create is ridiculous for where they are in the league, so they're very difficult to play against.
