Legendary hikers' cafe reopens... and you can still buy pints of tea

A LEGENDARY North Wales cafe that served up ‘pints of tea’ reopened at the weekend after a massive revamp.

Pete's Eats in Llanberis was started up by Pete and Vicky Norton in 1978.
Its position close to the foot of Yr Wyddfa meant it was an absolute favourite with hikers and was renowned for its portion sizes.
The place had been described as “one of the most famous mountaineering hangouts in Britain” and even has its own Wikipedia page.
Pete owned the cafe until 2018 before it was sold to Toby Harris. His father, Al Harris, helped set up the cafe back in 1978. It then went back on the market in March 2022.
