India to be Daikin's biggest production hub for exports

The world's largest air-conditioner manufacturer Daikin Industries aims to triple exports of its 'Made in India' products by 2025 and turn the country into its biggest manufacturing hub for exports. In an interview with the Financial Times, the firm's chief executive Masanori Togawa said they would soon start manufacturing products like heat pumps in India.

The main reason behind the increasing focus on India was the tightening environmental regulations in Europe.
