P38-B funds still on hand for calamity relief, rehab

At least P38.166 billion in calamity funds can still be tapped by the government to provide relief and rehabilitation services to areas affected by disasters after nearly P2 billion was disbursed as of the end of February.
Latest data on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRMF), also known as the calamity fund, showed that P38.165 billion remains available for use.
This represents about 95 percent of the P40.145 billion appropriated for the year, which may be used to support aid, relief and rehabilitation efforts.
