Bohol has inaugurated its first Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland—a development local officials say will strengthen diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations between the province and the European country.

The consulate was formally opened in rites attended by Ambassador Katarzyna Wilkowiecka and Consul Sebastian Marek Kmita of the Embassy of Poland on March 5.
