16 of the alleged 18 'marines' show up before the NBI for questioning

SIXTEEN of the 18 alleged members of the "marines" on Thursday heeded the subpoena issued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in order to shed light on their claims that they were tasked by resigned.
Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co to distribute numerous luggage totaling to more than P800 billion to several political figures including President Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.Other individuals who were summoned and showed up before the NBI were their lawyer Levito Baligod, former congressman Mike Defensor and his wife Julie Defensor who allegedly provided transportation to the 18 Marines during their February 24 press conference at Club Filipino in Greenhills. During interview with mediamen, Baligod claimed that the NBI clarified that the 18 marines were invited as potential witnesses and not as suspects for any crime.
“The NBI cleared that they are not suspects but potential witnesses,” Baligod said
During the proceedings, Bal-igod said the former soldiers were asked to present proof of identity, including serial numbers and government-issued identification cards.
