Time running out for childcare

THE deadline is fast approaching for parents and carers in North West Leicestershire to apply for government-funded childcare for this autumn.

All eligible working parents of children who turned nine months of age after April 1 have until August 31 to apply for up to 30 hours of funded childcare a week, saving them up to £7,500 a year per child.

Eligible families can receive, during term time, 1,140 free hours per year of funded childcare.
