New initiative is giving women a ticket to ride

NEW research by Alton Towers has revealed that more than half of women say fear of bladder leakage negatively impacts their enjoyment of a family day out.

The theme park has found that 58 per cent of women are missing out on fun family experiences this summer due to fears around bladder leaks, while an additional 43 per cent specifically avoid rollercoasters because of it.

Bladder incontinence, the unintentional passing of urine, is common in people of all ages and can often be caused by pregnancy and childbirth.

Now, Alton Towers has teamed up with NIXI Body - a female-founded leak-proof knicker brand - to break down the stigma around bladder incontinence and show that rollercoaster thrills are for everyone in the family.
