Families will receive new containers for food waste disposal

SEPARATE COLLECTION SERVICE TO COMPLY WITH LEGISLATION

A NEW weekly food waste collection service is being rolled out to all families across East Staffordshire.

Its aim is to make recycling easier for residents, and comes after the government, in accordance with the Environment Act 2021, introduced 'Simpler Recycling' legislation across England.

As part of this legislation, East Staffordshire Borough Council is legally required to introduce the separate food waste collection service to all residents.

To support this, the authority will be delivering new containers to every home throughout this month.
