Elves deliver some festive cheer to families struggling this Christmas

ADVENTURE FARM SENDS HUNDREDS OF GIFTS AND FOOD PARCELS TO HOSPITAL AND YMCA
CHRISTMAS elves from the National Forest Adventure Farm have been delivering hundreds of gifts and food parcels to families facing difficult times.
The farm's North Pole Adventure elves visited Queen's Hospital's Children’s Ward with toys and games, delivered food to YMCA Burton's food bank, spent time with residents at a local care home, and helped youngsters at Needwood Primary School prepare for their plays.
It comes after a recent study by Step Change has shown more than one in four say they will struggle to afford Christmas this year, and an Age UK campaign highlighted the hidden crisis of loneliness among older people during the festive season, with 11 per cent expected to eat alone on Christmas Day.
