Alrewas lose way against leaders O&B

ALREWAS lost their way as they suffered a 10-wicket defeat against Beechwood Mazda Derbyshire Premier Division front-runners Ockbrook & Borrowash, who maintained their 18 point lead at the top of the table.

After winning the toss, Alrewas batted and they made steady progress to 131-3 until Josh Lacey (3-23) dismissed West Indian Tevyn Walcott for a promising 45.

But apart from Alfie Williams (29 not out) there was nothing left to follow and Gareth Young (3-32) and Ximus du Plooy (2-14) closed things out on 188 in the 47th over.
