Plan for 200 new homes in town

TWO hundred more homes could soon be approved on the edge of a town locals say is already “suffering from house building overload.”

North Somerset Council’ planning committee will vote tomorrow on whether to grant planning permission for developer St Mowden Homes to build the housing estate on an active farm on the south west edge of Nailsea. The homes would be built over 8.41 hectares off Netherton Lane, opposite Taylor Wimpey’s Netherton Grange development.
The council’s planning officers are recommending that the plans be approved - but they have faced near unanimous opposition in the town.
