Bristol-based TV, stage and screen actor Stewart Wright is back as the most magical and authentic Father Christmas you'll ever meet! NATALIE BANYARD had a festive catch-up with Stewart to talk about the return of Santa & Sven

BRISTOL'S most enchanting and interactive Christmas show is back to give you all the festive feels. Stage and screen actor Stewart Wright has donned the big man’s red suit once again to enthral the littlest theatre-goers with Santa & Sven.
Created during the pandemic and now a much-loved staple of Bristol's Christmas calendar, the show delights young believers and their families with magical music, twinkling lights, humour and heart.
Now in its staggering sixth year, Bristol-based Stewart will bring Father of Christmas to life at Old Market's The Wardrobe Theatre on December 13 and 14, as well as Southville’s The Hen & Chicken on December 21.
Think theatre-meets-'an audience with Father Christmas, as the topnotch actor brings his own brand of improvisation and audience interaction, as well as a sense of fun and mischief, to all the children he meets.
Once again, Santa will be reunited with his trusty Reindeer Handler Sven, and this year, they will be joined by his excitable and talented Snow Elf. Together, they're hoping to shave valuable seconds off their busy Christmas Eve schedule by gathering crucial stocking location and roof landing intel ahead of time.
Little ones will be asked to help these festive heroes with their quest, as well as getting a peek into their enchanting world, seeing Sven play with his favourite snow elf circus toys, and asking the Big Man himself all the important questions.
“There's laughs, snowelf circus skills, and plenty of fun,’ Stewart tells me, “all wrapped up with Christmas magic. For anyone who's seen it before, there’s a new snowelf joining this year at The Wardrobe Theatre and Hen & Chicken shows; Snowball, with her giant balloons, is very excited to meet you all!”
