FOLLOWING our article about the amazing Ridgeway Park Cemetery in Eastville a couple of weeks ago (BT, July 15) Alan Freke mailed in about a very spooky experience he had there about five years ago when he was researching the life of local doctor Geoffrey Culank (who he later found was buried in the nearby Jewish cemetery).

Of his visit to Ridgeway Park, he wrote: " ... apart from the immediate entrance area, it seemed the entire site was completely overgrown with head-high brambles, and I soon realised that my search was pointless.
"However, I thought I'd do a bit of exploring, and followed a pathway leading down towards the Frome that was flanked by brambles that had overwhelmed the graves either side. As I passed between two large trees, I stopped to look back at them.
"What happened next was unbelievable.
