JUST a wee reminder that Channel 5's The Forsytes is currently airing. I've not watched it yet but will be doing so as I'm a sucker for costume drama.

(For) sytes for sore eyes

King Charles I; should have listened to the dire warnings of the Widow Carey of Bristol

I well remember the 1967 BBC version, the Forsyte Saga, and being given to understand by the grownups that this was something important and that my sister and I should either watch in respectful silence or leave the room. So I watched, not understanding any of it. As this was on a Sunday night, it was like having to spend the whole day in church.
