'Credit to the company' Bus driver ferried hurt passenger to hospital

A BRISTOL bus driver has been hailed as a hero for driving a passenger to hospital after she injured herself on board. Jimmy Tariq sprung into action when his passenger Jess Long badly dislocated her knee on his vehicle during the journey.

She started screaming with pain while travelling on the number 70 bus, on the evening of October 1.
After being told an ambulance would be hours away, Jimmy evacuated the bus and diverted to drive Jess to Southmead Hospital's A&E department so that she could receive treatment.
"I genuinely think I would have passed out (without Jimmy's help)," Jess, a student and hospitality worker said. "It's the most pain I've ever been in.
"I could feel my bones grinding together, I was screaming with pain."
