Court Jail for serial stalker who told one victim 'you will be an angel soon'

Piersaverio Finizio targeted four victims

Piersaverio Finizio has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for four counts of stalking causing serious distress.

The 30-year-old, of St Nicholas Road in St Pauls, was handed the jail term at Bristol Magistrates' Court.

Finizio, who was convicted at trial by magistrates after pleading not guilty to the offences at the same court last month, has also been handed restraining orders not to contact his four victims for the next five years.

He was also given a Stalking Prevention Order, to manage his behaviour in the community once released from custody. The court heard of the chilling words he uttered to his victims in an apparent bid to win their affection, asking for their contact numbers and giving them compliments.

He told one that “it must be scary being a girl at night”, while another reported him telling her: “You will be an angel soon”.
