BRISTOL is launching a bid to become recognised as the UK's Capital of Civil Rights.

The campaign will be formally unveiled at Talks4Change: Pioneers of Progress, a landmark civic summit on November 11 at the Wills Memorial Building. The event, led by Curiosity Un(Ltd) and the University of Bristol, will mark 60 years since the Race Relations Act 1965 and honour local civil rights hero Paul Stephenson.
