BRISTOL-BORN actor Gamba Cole, star of the BBC's The Outlaws and Death In Paradise, spent his birthday with the team at Baby Bank Network Bristol this week to help launch the charity's most ambitious Christmas appeal yet, seeking to support thousands of families struggling to provide essential items for their young children.

Gamba, who is set to appear in the upcoming ITV thriller Betrayal, arrived at the charity's warehouse on Tuesday with a car full of nappies and toiletries before working to pack toiletry bundles. The items will support local mums and babies through winter and into 2026. The actor said he was drawn to Baby Bank Network after reading about its mission to support Bristol families who are struggling to provide for their young children.

"Growing up, I had no idea of the sacrifices my mum must have made to ensure we had everything we needed," Gamba said. "I know it's not always easy for families to ask for help, so it's really important that organisations like Baby Bank Network exist so families can discreetly access the good-quality items their children need."
