Athletics Felix in fine form again to regain Avon title in Bath

FELIX McGrath and Andy Chambers delivered two outstanding performances for Bristol & West AC last weekend.
World Mountain Running GB international McGrath, pictured, regained his senior men's title at the Avon Cross Country Championships, extending his unbeaten spell to four out of four starts.
Meanwhile, Andy Chambers reemerged at the Telford 10k after a spell of injury to deliver an astonishing time of 29mins 42secs, which is not only a big personal best but also put him eighth on the UK All Time Lists for over 40 runners.
"That was a great run by Andy and bodes well for the road relays next spring and also the National Cross Country if he wants to run," said McGrath.
McGrath was also very satisfied with his return to the University of Bath course having missed the event last year.
"It is a busy time of the year for races. I'm not always around to take part, but I have won it a few times now," added McGrath.
"The course suits me as it is either downhill or uphill and on the second lap I eased clear and was over 40 seconds clear by the finish."
