A 42-YEAR-OLD man appeared in the Mahwelereng Magistrate's Court on January 7 following his arrest for assaulting his 17-year-old daughter.
His arrest came after a video clip circulated on social media and was reported to police by a concerned community member from Armoede village outside Mokopane.
The footage shows a man repeatedly punching, kicking and dragging a teenage girl, lifting and throwing her to the ground, and stepping over her while she lay helpless.
