THE Mankweng Magistrate's Court sentenced Matome Seabi to life term imprisonment on May 14 for the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

- Cecilia Mogashoa

The court noted that in December 2009, the girl was walking from school in Badimong village at Mentz, when her older sister gave her money to take to Seabi, who assisted them in repairing an electrical problem at their residence. On her arrival, Seabi told the victim to enter the house, as she supposedly could not give it to him standing outside.

The girl complied and was ordered to sit on a couch.
