Return of Grand Young Technicians Programme

The Grand Young Technicians Programme (GYT) offers young people aged 14-19 years the opportunity to develop skills in technical theatre and stage management by working alongside their professional in-house team on selected projects and productions throughout the year.

Across the past two years of this new programme, GYT Cohorts have gained work experience on core Blackpool Grand projects including the National Theatre Connections Festival, Bugsy Malone: The Musical, The Wind in the Willows: The Musical, the Storytelling Festival and the annual pantomime.
Members of the first GYT cohort have progressed on to professional employment and further education and training.
Grand Young Technicians Programme is supported by funding from The Backstage Trust.
Applications to join Grand Young Technicians are now open for 14 to 19-year-olds.
To be considered for a place on the programme you must attend one of the Grand's open access workshops on either
Sunday, February 1 at 6pm
Monday, February 2 at 5pm
