Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde AC's Scott Sinclair and Joel Elphick took their places at last weekend's UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

- by Sports Reporter

It was a great learning experience for both athletes, with Sinclair taking part in the triple jump and Elphick among the 60m hurdles hopefuls.

Sinclair finished in an excellent seventh position after producing a season's-best performance of 15.07m.

Elphick, back in action after the injuries he sustained last year, had to wait until heat four to begin his campaign.

He did well to qualify for the semifinals as his time of 8.28s made him one of the fastest losers.
