HALESOWEN and Knowle & Dorridge, the Birmingham and District Premier League’s top two, locked horns at Station Road but the only winner was the weather with the match being abandoned midway through the first innings.
It was hosts K&D who were put into bat and they were on 130 for five from 40 overs when the rain set in. The in-form Neil Pinner led the way with 44 from 60 balls and was given useful support from opener Alex Phillips (37) and Nick James (24 not out).
Of the bowlers, Ed Bragg took 2-21 from an excellent 12-over spell and there were also wickets for Alexei Kervezee, Masihullah Qazkhill and James Rudge.
