Rogers has established himself as a big-time player for Villa.His second-half double at the London Stadium turned what looked like a defeat into a victory for Unai Emery’s side.

Scoring his fourth and fifth league goals of the campaign, Rogers first finished clinically, then added another contender for the club's goal of the season, lifting the ball over Alphonse Areola with a technique reminiscent of the one he used to beat Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario from distance earlier this season.

Remarkably, all nine of Rogers’ away Premier League goals for Villa have either put them in the lead (three) or drawn them level (six).

"The most important thing is how he is working, tactically and being versatile. He is now scoring goals and he is being brilliant," Emery said of his match-winner.
