Rail strikes to hit holiday weekend

MIDLAND travellers are being warned of disruption to rail services over the bank holiday weekend because of a strike by workers.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union at CrossCountry Trains will take part in industrial action on Saturday and Monday.
The company says there will be no services at all on Saturday, with a reduced timetable over the rest of the weekend. Services on Sunday are likely to be subject to cancellations, while a a “very limited” service will operate on Monday between 8am and 6pm.
Passengers are being advised to travel either side of the bank holiday weekend, or claim a full refund.
