Mum loses 11st for daughter's wedding day
Birmingham Mail
|August 26, 2025
A MUM said she lost a remarkable 11st in just 18 months by making a simple lifestyle change.
Kay - who then weighed 24 stone - was spurred on to embark on a weight-loss journey when her daughter announced plans to get married.
The 52-year-old didn’t want to feel self-conscious in the photographs of the big day, so she decided to join her local Slimming World club in Sedgley in February 2024.
She said: “I just thought, I can’t look like this in my daughter’s wedding photos.
“It’s a moment we'll treasure forever, and I wanted to feel confident and happy standing beside her.”
Switching her meals to ones which were part of the plan has helped the mum to shed just over 11st.
