DAVID Baddiel makes a really good point in the first of his series on cats.

Actually, he makes several. It's a very good show, and very funny, but it also has some bits that make you think.The key point he makes is that cat videos on the internet, daft as they may be, are viewed in their millions, and so the relative paucity of cat-themed TV programmes is rather hard to explain (yes, I could have spelt that "PA-WC-IT-Y, but resisted; I hope you're impressed).
