A BIRMINGHAM mum's flat was used as a major drug dealing base by her boyfriend.

Police raided the one-bedroom apartment at Brinklow Tower, in Highgate, to find nearly £300,000-worth of cocaine and heroin as well as two guns, one of which was loaded.

Startled Rhiannon Harford was holding one of her children when she was confronted by cops before Joshua McCaffrey came out behind her and confessed to having firearms.

As he was being driven to custody, he told officers he 'should have just killed them' Birmingham Crown Court.

The 33-year-old was jailed for 12 years last Thursday after pleading guilty to two charges of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of a self-loading pistol, possession of a revolver and possession of ammunition.

Harford, 24, admitted two charges of allowing her premises to be used to supply class A drugs, but was spared prison in favour of a community order.
