Man arrested as police probe fatal stabbing at home

SHOCKED residents have told how their quiet cul-de-sac was suddenly ‘lit up by blue lights’ as armed police rushed to the scene of a fatal stabbing on Saturday night.

Police and forensics at the scene in Swanage Road, Small Heath

Emergency services were called to a terraced home on Swanage Road, in Small Heath, after reports of a stabbing at 6.40pm.

A man was given CPR by police and paramedics in a desperate attempt to save his life. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A blue forensic tent had earlier been set up in the the garden of a home at the scene.
