BLUES fans know better than most never to fall in love with a loan player, with plenty donning Royal Blue over the years.
To some degree at least, Hannibal Mejbri, Onel Hernandez and Jon Toral have all won the hearts and minds of Bluenoses only to move on without a backward glance.
Jay Stansfield charmed the birds from the trees when he came from Fulham and seemed to mount a personal crusade to try to keep the club in the Championship.
