How were group allowed to 'spread hate messages'?

AN urgent probe has been demanded into how anti-migrant party Britain First managed to easily defy a city council order to set up a prominent stage and PA system in the heart of Birmingham's Victoria Square and 'spread hate messages'.

The council had apparently banned the group, a registered political party, from vehicle access to the civic square, invoking its No Platform Policy.

But with police and council security guards present, the group accessed the 'secure space' right in front of the Council House, allowing the group to transmit its hate messages via loud speakers.

The council claimed an ongoing investigation prevented it from commenting further about what happened. Council insiders said they were furious security was breached so easily amid claims barriers were lowered by the authority's own staff to allow access for vehicles.
