Hospital hailed for improving in four key areas

GOOD Hope Hospital has been praised by inspectors for improvements made in four services.

Bosses and staff at the Sutton Coldfield hospital should feel encouraged, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) said. But some other areas are still rated as requiring improvement.

The CQC made inspections in February and March and found "many areas of good practice."

Inspectors looked at maternity, medical care, services for children and young people, and urgent and emergency services at the hospital, which is run by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
