Fifty firefighters rush to scene of JLR blaze

SMOKE SEEN BILLOWING FROM CAR GIANT'S CASTLE BROMWICH PLANT
A BLAZE at Jaguar Land Rover's Castle Bromwich plant sent huge plumes of smoke into the sky which could be seen six miles away in Birmingham city centre.
Fifty firefighters tackled the blaze after receiving 999 calls shortly after 8am yesterday).
Eight fire engines, three 4x4 brigade response vehicles and a hydraulic aerial platform were at the scene within minutes.
No-one was injured in the blaze which West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) said was at a vehicle manufacturing plant.
Firefighters fought for an hour to extinguish flames.
