RESIDENTS' CARS WRITTEN OFF AND GARDENS DESTROYED BY CRASHES

'Danger junction' sees calls for safety moves

A WALSALL Wood family say they have had their garden destroyed and car written off three times since moving to their home seven years ago.

Mum-of-three Marie Bevington said vehicles travelling along Coppice Road have lost control several times and ended up in her garden or a neighbour's.

Becky Hunter, a neighbour of Marie’s, launched a petition calling on Walsall Council to install traffic calming measures and barriers to protect their homes.

Marie, 42, said: “In May 2018 a car went through the wall and my car was written off. In April 2023 another car went through my wall and another car was written off.

“Now, another car has come through the wall again and I’m waiting to hear but I’m sure the car's written off again.
