30-YEAR-OLD NAMED BY POLICE AS MAN ARRESTED
Ali Alshmari, aged 30, who was stabbed to death in Alum Rock
A MAN who died after being fatally stabbed in Alum Rock has been named as Ali Alshmari.
The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after he was knifed in Bridge Road on Tuesday.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stabbing and remained in police custody.
A woman in her 50s, who suffered injuries to her hand during the incident, was later discharged from hospital.
A knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered and was being examined.
