Campaigners' anger at bid to turn 'tiny house' into HMO

CAMPAIGNERS took their battle to stop a six-bedroom HMO in a Solihull cul-de-sac to councillors.

A plan to convert a three-bed family home at 55 Brean Avenue has angered residents who turned up with a banner and packed the public gallery at the latest meeting of Solihull Council.

Campaigner Lorraine Bates told councillors that plans to convert a “tiny three bedroom house” was inappropriate for many reasons.

“The houses have very thin walls and you can hear music and TV,” the campaigner said. “Could you imagine living next door to six adults? It will surely be unbearable.
