A BIRMINGHAM postcode has ranked the highest for burglary claims in Britain.
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), burglary rates in England and Wales increased by 8 per cent last winter.
By analysing home insurance quotes, MoneySuperMarket’s home insurance experts have identified the postcodes with the highest and lowest rates of burglary claims over the past four years.
With 57.7 claims for every 1,000 quotes, Birmingham's B15 postcode ranks as the UK’s top burglary hotspot.
It’s followed by Solihull’s B94 at 39.2 claims per 1,000, and Greater London’s postcode district of TW12 at 38.1.
