A CONDUCTOR who brings the best of Birmingham music to listeners in halls around the world, as well as at Symphony Hall, Bullring and the West Midlands Metro, has won a national award.
Kazuki Yamada, the music director of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO), was given the Conductor Award at the 2025 Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS) Awards in a ceremony at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
It was the first time that the RPS Awards has been hosted in the West Midlands and The Sunday Times billed it as 'the biggest night in UK classical music.'
