KYOGO Furuhashi could make his debut for Blues this week after sitting out of Saturday’s victory over Sevilla - but compatriot Kanya Fujimoto will have to wait for his bow.

The Japanese duo were absent from the team sheet as Keshi Anderson, Christoph Klarer and Marc Leonard netted in a 3-1 win at Estadio Algarve.

Blues will now return to base and take on Solihull Moors in their next friendly tomorrow before the squad is split for fixtures against Burton and Crewe on Saturday.

There is every chance former Celtic and Rennes striker Kyogo will don the Royal Blue this week.

“Kyogo has been training in the last few days so he will probably feature in the next games,” Blues boss Chris Davies told Blues+.

Fujimoto is still recovering from an innocuous knee injury he picked up while playing for Gil Vicente at the end of last season. The 26-year-old travelled to Portugal with his new teammates without participating in any of the training sessions.

Davies added: “Kanya is a little bit behind. He's been injured anyway and is still training on his own, so it will be a few weeks before he’s even with the group.”
