Residents across the West Country are being urged to become 'citizen scientists' this summer as part of a week-long initiative to track the health of local rivers and streams.

The Bristol Avon RiverBlitz, organised by the Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART), runs from Friday, July 4 to Friday, July 11 and invites members of the public to test water quality at chosen sites across the Bristol Avon catchment area.
