Thai Muslims to get mandatory jabs for Hajj

Thai Muslims preparing to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia this year will receive mandatory vaccinations against meningococcal disease and influenza, health screenings, and free first-aid kits, the Public Health Ministry said.
The vaccination is part of a comprehensive health programme offered to 7,037 Thai Muslims joining this year's Hajj pilgrimage.
The news came as Deputy Public Health Minister Worachot Sukhonkha-chon presided over the launch at the National Islamic Affairs Administration Centre in Nong Chok, Bangkok.
