PP rallies behind new city replacement candidate

Taopiphob Limjittrakorn, a prospective candidate for the People's Party (PP), has submitted his application to contest the Bangkok MP seat in Constituency 33, replacing the party's previous candidate who is facing money laundering charges.

Speaking after submitting his application to the Election Commission, Mr Taopiphob said his concerns had dissipated since the party's unanimous decision during a primary meeting to endorse him for the role. He replaces Boonyarit Raorungrot.

"This mission is not only for Bang Phlat and Bangkok Noi districts. It is a mission for the PP nationwide - to reclaim public trust," he said, adding that he felt confident and energised by the support he had received.
