New Bangkok cloud region goes live

Google Cloud launched a new cloud region in Thailand on Wednesday, bolstering its commitment to advancing the country’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven digital economy as well as serving Thailand's cloud first policy.
Over five years, the Bangkok cloud region is expected to contribute 1.4 trillion baht in economic value to Thailand and support an average of 130,000 jobs per year, according to Karthik Narain, chief product and business officer at Google Cloud.
As part of Google’s US$1-billion investment to expand its world-class technical infrastructure in Thailand, this new cloud region in Bangkok offers high-performance, in-country Google Cloud services that empower organisations to drive new competitive advantages, uplift workforce productivity and enhance public services.
