Mall ranked among the world's top 3 influential retail projects at MAPIC Awards 2025, writes Boonsong Lipimas

Thailand's landmark riverfront development ICONSIAM has brought national pride to the country after being ranked a "Top Three Most Influential Retail Property Project of the Past 30 Years" at the MAPIC Awards 2025, a prestigious event often hailed as the "Oscars of the retail industry".

The recognition cements ICON-SIAM's status as one of the world's leading retail and lifestyle destinations, seamlessly blending art, culture, innovation and commerce. The award also highlights Siam Piwat Group's pioneering role in redefining the future of retail and urban development, proving that Thai creativity, collaboration and vision can stand shoulder to shoulder with the very best globally.

Opened in 2018 after a decade of planning and design, ICONSIAM is a 60-billion-baht mixed-use development that transformed the Chao Phraya riverfront into a global destination. Jointly developed by Siam Piwat Co Ltd, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) and the Charoen Pokphand Group, the 55-rai complex comprises more than750,000 square metres of retail, lifestyle and residential space.

Conceived as a celebration of Thai heritage and modern innovation, the development tells a distinctly Thai story through its design and cultural offerings, from curated exhibitions of local craftsmanship to collaborations with international artists and designers.
