Govt seeks funds to remove street light cost from bills

The government is seeking 20 billion baht to fund public street lighting to remove the cost from household electricity bills.

Deputy Interior Minister Polapee Suwunchwee said he will meet Energy Minister Akanat Promphan and executives from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) to discuss allocating 20 billion baht to finance public electricity systems and street lighting.
