Fiorentina sack winless coach Pioli

Fiorentina have parted ways with coach Stefano Pioli, the Serie A club said on Tuesday, after a dismal winless start to the league season leaves the Tuscan side bottom of the Italian top flight standings.

Pioli returned to the club in July for his second spell in charge, but Fiorentina have collected a mere four points from the first 10 league games, the club's worst ever start to a season leading to protests from supporters.
